The world has embraced Karen Carpenter and Richard Carpenter and their music since 1969. Through the years, the famous brother and sister duo enriched the music scene with 10 studio albums, 3 posthumous albums and countless compilations featuring melodious songs of hope, love, and joy. Fans who have been loyal and faithful followers regret the fact that uncompleted, unreleased solo tracks of songs sung by Karen still exist.

Therefore, we request that the principals from Universal Music Group and Richard Carpenter reconsider their current position on the existing music repository, and produce and release the remaining tracks, which total nine or more. These would be produced into either an expanded edition of Karen's solo album or a separate, new second album. In either case, we would also like to see the songs accompanied by complete liner notes with commentary, insights, and photos from Richard and those involved in the recording and production of Karen's solo tracks, which may include all or some of the following: Bob James, Rod Temperton, Russell Javors and Rob Mounsey

While we recognize that this is a huge undertaking, we are confident that the end result will surpass expectations and be a rewarding experience for all. The world wants to welcome these unreleased songs not only as a tribute to the memory of Karen, but also as a tribute to both Karen and Richard, and what they represented to us as Carpenters. This is music to be enjoyed by those of us who have grown up with Carpenters, and by a new generation of listeners who also appreciate Karen's superb vocal qualities.

We, the fans, believe the time to move forward with this undertaking is now, 30+ years since the anniversary of Karen's passing.

These are the nine unreleased solo tracks:
I Do It For Your Love
It's Really You
Jimmy Mack
Love Making Love To You
Truly You
Don't Try To Win Me Back Again
Something's Missing (In My Life)
Keep My Lovelight Burning
Midnight Never Lets You Down

The current level of movement on this petition has provided the leverage required to initiate formal discussions with representatives from Universal Music Group. I am drafting a comprehensive proposal that outlines the technical requirements for finishing these specific tracks and ensuring they receive professional production standards. The next phase involves confirming a primary point of contact within the label to review our request.

I'm honestly shocked the nine remaining songs are still in bootleg form - there's easily three could-be singles in that lot. There's a second Karen solo album to be made from these tracks - the fans realise this, why can't Richard and UMG?

I would love to hear the remainder of her music released. If there are unfinished pieces the brilliant arranging of Richard Carpenter would make them 'complete' and would never detract from the 'pitch perfect' legacy that Karen embodied. Sincerely, David Anderson

These tracks should be released. They are already bootlegged and could and will earn revenue for tje Carpenters good causes. Karen put heart and soul into these recordings. Please honour Karen by recognising this publicly through a general release. It WILL sell !

Please release Karen's songs. For those of us who love her, there could be no greater joy than to hear all the songs she chose to record. It takes nothing from The Carpenters ... just adds to our admiration of this beautiful person and her amazing voice.

I am one of the people who helped fight to get Karen's solo album released, in 1996 - especially here in the UK. The solo album was so important to Karen, as it is to her fans. I think it would be good to finally give, the entire album, the credit it deserves.

Me and My twin sister are listening to the Capenters right now. We've been listening for 35 years now! Always puts us in great moods. I still have my Carpenter Fan club Key chain and patch. Please put out Karen's remaining tracks.

Please make her unreleased solo tracks available. My favorite of these is her remake of “Jimmy Mack”!
