The town of North Smithfield has chosen to close off our access to Rt146A due to a new shopping center. We as taxpayers object to changing our direction of exiting and entering our neighborhood easily. The present road we would have to use is extremely narrow,and very dangerous,especially in the winter time. We have not even been contacted by the town about our options.This is wrong.We feel we should have some say in this issue. The traffic pattern is bad as it is,and this will just add to it.
