Access is critical for the enjoyment and protection of our great outdoor resources. Please open this corridor to allow future enjoyment and ease fishing pressure by distributing sportsmen over a broader area. This will enhance the quality of this very special fishery.

The Yakima River area just below the diversion dam needs to have a good boat launch built that will allow public access to this stretch of water. It is a shame that on the states only true blue water trout river this much of the water can not be accessed by the public.

I support this petition which will help expand walk-in fishing opportunities for CWU students who are new to flyfishing. With additional river access the sport and commerce surrounding it will improve in Ellensburg local.

I support the effort to increase foot and boat access to the Yakima River between Thorp and Ellensburg. This will be a win-win for the fish and the local economy by both encouraging more visits, and spreading out pressure on the fish, which are managed under Catch-and-Release regulations.

FOR THOSE OF US THAT ARE NOW LIVING ON FIXED INCOMES, ADDITIONAL ACCESS TO THE RIVER THAT WOULD BE WITHOUT FEE'S WOULD BE A GOOD ADDITION TO WHAT'S ALREADY AVAILABLE. tHIS WAS A FELLA COULD FLOAT AND WADE IN PLACES THAT CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED BY A GUIDED TRIP. THAT MANY CAN NO LONGER AFFORD.

Although I live in Western Washington, my most memorable fishing experiences in the state have been on the Yakima. It is a treasure that needs to much more available. When I have fished the Yakima I have gladly spent money for motels and meals as well as guide services.
