It has come to our attention that, as of December 30, 2012 - both GLOBAL TV and SHAW MEDIA have decided to drop all hunting programming from its Saturday morning block of outdoors shows.
We would like to send congratulations and KUDOS to both GLOBAL TV and SHAW MEDIA for this decision and fully expect each to live by the promise of dropping these shows.
We feel there is absolutely NO reason for the killing animals on television stictly for ratings and are impressed that GLOBAL TV and SHAW MEDIA. have decided to take this brave step. It is our fervent hope that this will start a proactive trend in broadcasting communities globally!
It is our understanding that threats of boycotts and a letter-writing campaign has started on behalf of certain hunting groups. This petition is asking that you once again hold fast to your forward thinking idea of removing these barbaric shows and to also show GLOBAL TV and SHAW MEDIA the vast amount of supporters they have in making this decision!
