Name: Paul Matte on Oct 20, 2012Comments: The various branches of Asus ( Italy, North America and Asus Global) have said a few months ago that the tablets Asus Transformer TF101 and TF101G will not receive the update to version 4.1 Jelly Bean of Android , leaving them with only one update (Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich). Asus has never given valid reasons why TF101 and TF101G will not receive the update. And we doubt that there may be a valid reason. Competitive tablets like the Motorola Xoom (which has the same hardware of Asus TF101/G) have received the update to Android 4.1 and smartphones like the Samsung Nexus S (which has lower technical specifications compared to TF101) have received the same update. Established this, taking in mind also the minimum required by Jelly Bean 4.1, the Asus TF101/G is technically capable of supporting the new version of Android. The tablet in question was released a year and a half ago and received only one update, among other things, full of bugs (in early versions), while Transformer Prime TF201 has received already two updates (Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean) Due of Asus's choices and in accordance with the best interests of all consumers who own a product of this company participate in our initiative, because if it has been abandoned TF101/G, so will happen to your tablet. So we ask a simple signature with truthful information to be forwarded to Global Asus, Asus Italy, Asus North America and to Asus's HQ and all Asus's Tek divisions.Flag
