This is a petition against the UNMC Nations Cup results that was announced on its closing ceremony held on the 19th of November 2012. Sri Lanka got the winning title but was everyone aware of the 3 Gold Medals which were awarded to Sri Lanka in “Butterfly – Female,” “Mixed Medley” and “Freestyle Medley” without any competition going on as they were the only ones who signed up for the particular events. Tennis Female got cancelled because there was only one participant from Kazakhstan who signed up, BUT the swimming events still went on. So Sri Lanka got 3 Gold Medals with 5 points each without even competing. Malaysia was behind Sri Lanka by 13 points, so by right Malaysia should have been 2 points ahead of Sri Lanka and won the Nations Cup Title if ISB had not counted the 15 points. Nations cup is a COMPETITION. How could Sri Lanka be awarded with 15 points without even competing? As such, how does this reflect ISB as the representatives of over 4000 students from over 30 different countries in UNMC. This is not just about Malaysians, other nationalities could experience the same situation if this unfair treatment from ISB continues.
