Unlock My Life petition is to help with the continuation of equal justice for formerly-incarcerated people. We believe that people returning home from jail or prison should not be discriminated again when it comes to housing or employment opportunities. It has been statistically proven that this has been a huge barrier for such people and have stifled low-income communities for decades. With the success of Unlock My Life and "Ban the Box" real hope can be restored to the people returning home from jail or prison, crime rates will be less do to financial support for such people, and families can be reunited with a real chance of survival.
