Blood Patients Protection Council (BPPC), Kerala, India is an organization of poor patients like Thalassemia, Sickle cell Anemia, Hemophilia and Leukemia and their parents in Kerala, India.We have been fighting for the better treatment of fatal disease affected patients for two decades.Many patients have died without getting life saving drugs and expert treatment those who have participated in our numerous agitations.We had raised the pathetic condition of patients before the state government and central government many time through our intensive strike and various memorandum.Lack of budgetary provisions all governments denying our life saving demand frequently.
There is a right to live by accepting life saving drugs and expert treatment to all patients.No one should denied that right over the reason of economical backwardness of the patients or the countries.
There is a right to all infants to birth with healthy without affecting any kind of hereditary disorders.There is a right to all mothers to give birth healthy infants without affecting their own health.safe blood and better equipment should be available to all patients.
All fatal disease affected patients especially chronic disease affected patients should be provided sufficient social justice like housing scheme,scholarship for education and monthly pension scheme for the poor. There should be a compensation scheme for the victims of the treatment error by the neglect from the part of health care providers or hospitals.
We havehighlightedthe above issues many time before our governments and health authorities.But no fruitful action have taken so far
So I request you to include our long pending demands in your petition.
