Name: Darlene Nichols on Sep 9, 2003State: CACountry:Comments: You realize the IVRA is not going to vote for Arnold even if McClintock drops from the race. This is why California will remain a Liberal State. We have no unity with the far right. My son attends Calvary so I am not picking on the far right. I am just telling it like it is. Name: Pauline Turski on Sep 9, 2003State: CACountry: USComments: I want to be the one deciding on the Republican Governor - not have the party decide. I'm currently ignoring all influences and am capable of making my own decision. I hope that California Republicans begin to listen to what woman want and start coming more to the center.Flag

Name: MaryAnn McKissick on Sep 13, 2003State: CACountry: USComments: I want to tell Arnold's campaign advisers an idea about how to broaden Arnold's "First thing I'll do is audit" speech. When a politician (Not that Arnold is all that!) talks budgets and audits, it removes him from the average Jo(ann) like myself. Our eyes glaze over and we tune out. BUT .... Here in the Central Valley we are plagued with office holders who brazenly abuse their gavernment credit cards and expense accounts to the tens of thousands of dollars. We, especially women, understand that and can personally relate. ~~Buying drinks for everbody in the house, taking dozens of cronies on "educational" junkets to the Bahamas to figure out how to correct California school problems, getting $550 hotel rooms in New York city, having $300 massages and $70 pedicures are some of the dang abuses of public trust reported in our Modesto Bee. ~ And that is only one man, for gawd's sake! These abuses could add up to some real change when you multiply it by the total number of government workers who are issued basically "on-your-honor" blank checks in the form of expense accounts. AND, no one should get paid when the annual budget is overdue. Per diem, my foot!Who else gets paid ~ and paid handsomely~ for NOT doing the job Pahleeze! My thought is ~ after I calm down and start thinking straight again ~ for Arnold to humanize his audit speech by mentioning how he's going to shine light all the way through the budget from the highest agency abuses to the politician who is lining his purse with cashmire, while we get the other end of the sheep for our purses. Arnold has a robot problem when he talks numbers: humanize, humanize, humanize! If you can tell me where to send this so it will be heard by someone, please, do. Thank you. Now, let's win this one!
