Name: Stan Harper on Sep 6, 2003State: CACountry: USComments: let me know what i can do to help. you are right on target....and the attached is a letter i have just sent out: at first, i thought the gop would chew each other up during the recall campaign, and allow the lt gov win.....now, it appears that while the conservatives are more in tune with the senator or peter, they know that arnold is ahead in the gop standings but will not win...so they are rapidly changing their decision on the re call to vote no on recall so that cruz can not win....we all feel that the thought of a potential of 11 years of cruz (hell, even 3 ) would be disastrous for not only the tax payer of california but the nation. it is bad enough that california is bankrupt now, with cruz and his robin hood mentality we will be in worse financial shape than we are in today.... there is no question, that we in california must cut social services, repeal pre veiling wage for government workers, at the minimum replace our workers comp system with that of arizona, repeal the triple car tax, repeal drivers licenses for illegals (in fact prosecute anyone who commits a crime -- coming across the boarder is against the federal law), pass legislation to reduce frivolous law suits, impose taxes on all california businesses (including those on indian reservations not personal tax...simply their business operations), we must make the citizens of california responsible for their own actions, we must motivate people to achieve their dreams (but not at the expense of the taxpayers), we need legislators in sacramento and washington who have held down a job, meet a payroll and have not been at the public trough their adult life... and most of all we must level the playing field in the private sector. our forefathers gave us a wonderful road map for a productive life, a life that would make it possible to achieve our dreams...but that incentive has been taken away by the social do-gooders ... social robinhoods. so unless arnold gives the conservatives something to hang their hat on...something that makes them feel comfortable we are voting no on re call. and live with davis for 3 more years.... even though i support the re call effort. hopefully it would be a wake up call for everyone. stan harper 315 panorama drive bakersfield, ca 93305 661 325 5867 i currently live in kern county....was republican of the year in placer county in 63 (gosh that seems like a century ago) and have worked for reagan when he was governor and did special projects for him at the whitehouse.Flag
