The genocide was v v uncalled for. The Igbos deserve an apology. To err is human and forgive is divine. It is better late than never.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Oct 18, 2012Comments: Thank you very much Maazi Chinedu Akuta. I am proud of your patriotic and manly action. This is the best way to fight a Cause, a Struggle, not talks and exchange of words like women because, Professor Achebe, in his ''Locus classicus'' Novel, ''Things Fall Apart,'' wrote; ''when a man comes into your obi and defeacates on the floor, what do you do,?'' he asks. ''You pick up a stick and break his head,'' he answered. I am happy that something has started. Let Nigeria come to the ICC and defend herself and show cause why they did what crime they against Ndiigbo and why they should not be punished, made to pay reparation and apologise to us. Onceagain, maazi Akuta, you have lifted up my spirit and God who gave you the wisdom to initiate this Project, will continue to guide you aright till justice is achieved. I lost my beloved mother and her father (my maternal grand father who was the Eze of my town, Ohebe-Dim and a Customary Court Judge) to war. So, I am good victim. Cheers! * Ezike is the Executive Director, Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), and hails from Ohebe-Dim in Igbo-Etiti local government area of Enugu state.Flag

Name: MARTINS AMUZIE on Oct 20, 2012Comments: This is a major step towards reconciliation. the Phrase "NO VICTOR NO VANQUISHED" is not enough. Secondly, the Federal Government of Nigeria should also apologize to the Igbos on the genocide and massacre which has not ceased. The Boko Haram Menace is another attempt to extinguish the Igbo tribe... Majority of lives lost in Northern Nigeria through Boko haram are IGBOS, which indicates that the war has not ceased but are being fought through Government mercenaries using "religious extremists" as a cover upFlag

Name: Ngozi Chinyere Anyamele on Oct 22, 2012Comments: I quite agree. And for the sake of those that were killed we cannot just forget. We forgive all those that have done evil to us, but we cannot forget. Besides, let those that want to be in Nigeria remain in Nigeria; and all those that want Biafra will be Biafrans or what other independent countries that emerge. Now that Bilie Human Rights Initiative has started the court process (October 30, 2012), the game is on --- for the legal debate on the rights of the indigenous people of Biafra to self-determination and independence. For the first time it is Biafra Vs. Nigeria in a court of law. This is the start of our journey to BiafraLand. When it finally goes to ICC and then to UN, we certainly hope they will not fail us again. Long live Biafra and forever may she be Sovereign. Amen.Flag

The time has come when the world must convince us that indeed we are part of humanity. As a child, I watched my younger sister waste away from hunger and died. I watched my father waste away from sickness (unattended to and died).Flag

Name: Emeka Eric Adonis on Oct 25, 2012Comments: It is incumbent on the UN not only to apologize to Biafrans but also to ensure that those Nigerian criminal leaders who perpetrated this genocide on the Igbo race should by taken to the ICC for war crime and also assist Biafrans to actualize a Biafran nation.Flag
