Many people are unaware that human waste is being applied to over 19,000 acres of farmland in Louisa County. The purpose of this website is to inform residents of Louisa County about the dangers associated with the application of biosolids (sludge). The content on this website is intended to be informational and has been collected from many different sources.

The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) states that biosolids are safe and regulated. This is simply not the case! It is important that residents understand that some of the locally grown food is being grown on fields fertilized with human waste! Our local animals (domestic or wild) may be eating grass or hay that was grown on fields fertilized with human waste! This is not safe or healthy. The possibility of sludge-grown veggies and animals makes me question whether or not I'm really getting healthier food by eating local because it completely depends on the fertilizer used on the soil!

If you are against the application of sludge on farmland...SIGN THIS PETITION!
