School may stink, but school needs money! Students that go to under funded schools get lower education because the school may be too poor to buy supplies. People should care about school funding because students may not have enough supplies to learn properly. Like, for example, if there weren&amp;amp;acirc;t enough money to buy new textbooks, or go on educational trips, etc, the students' education would be less than students that got new textbooks or were supplied with helpful educational things. Statistics show that even though 50% of white students can read at eighth grade levels, only 25% of Hispanics and African-Americans can read at an eighth grade level; and only 22% eighth grade students at high poverty schools can read at eighth grade levels. Also, only 17% o f low-performing schools offer accelerated math courses. Furthermore, 25% of the teachers in the low-performing middle schools weren&amp;amp;acirc;t qualified to teach. Also, schools with poor people get less funding. We are trying to helping the schools, like how the women of the Women&amp;amp;acirc;s Suffrage Movement tried to get their civil rights. We are also using the same methods of resistance as the women did when they were protesting such as creating posters, which is what we are doing. Our goal is to try and increase the funding for the schools. Some schools get less money than others and that is what we are trying to change.
