    Comments: This is purely an overreaction. While yes, people sometimes do get overboard with review responses, the total banning of review responses is NOT the way to go. Many people like JudasFM and others HAVE put review responses appropriately into their fanfics, so I can't see why there has to a total embargo on this. As FFNet says, a balanced review is the most rewarding thing for a writer, it spurs him or her on to write more. Is it wrong to say thanks

    Comments: This just seems stupid to me. Why can't responses to reviews be classed as part of the author notes there's nothing wrong with them and everyone loves to know their reviews have been responded to and read. Please change it so people can put them in their fics.

    Comments: Kaiyo No Hime on ff.net. As a writer, and a person who doesn't check her e-mail as frequently as she should, I enjoy writing back to my reviewers in my fanfiction. A few words, a thanks, and a nod in their direction. And I generally place all of my comments at the bottom of the page simply so people don't need to scroll through them. While yes, I have seen some people just full entire chapters with nothing but reviews, those are very few, and very far between. I think ff.net should spend more time keeping their site up and running (this must be the second or third unannounced down time this MONTH) before they go torturing writers willy-nilly. Unless I go and trace down every IP and ISP behind each anonymous reviewer, how else am I going to thank them for their praise, defend myself against flames, or point out plot parts they had missed With my magical mental mind powers I think not!

    Comments: They've blocked me from even BECOMING a member even though i've sent them two accounts. But I've noticed that nobody's been responding to any reveiwers and there are no quizzes anymore. Personally, I think it's stupid that writers can't respond to thier reveiwers.

    Comments: Fanfiction.net has implemented a whole slew of irrational rules that I have dealt with for too long. Disallowing review-replies accomplishes nothing for quality and spam control. One hit reply buttons also do not achieve the same effect. Where is the so-called freedom that this website claims to give us If it continues to go down the drain, we might as well make our own independent website.

    Comments: I don't get what the problem is in answering reviews in your chapters. Its not like these responses take up more of the story space than the actual story, so it can't be a question of space. Personally I like it when authors respond to my commments, and I like responding to my reviewers. It shows you care enough to take the time.
