Name: Anonymous on Oct 27, 2009Comments: Was a renewed (2nd time around) netflix member. This last time over 1 year I had an active account with them. Suddenly they stopped accepting my prepaid visa card. Never had a movie lost or not returned. I used the streaming more than the movies. Anyways, they obviously don;t want my business so they can go to hell. So I canceled my account over 1 month ago and the bastards have had the balls to actually attempt to charge my pre-paid card 2 times now since i personally canceled my account. This has caused me to cancel the visa and get a new one issued. Netflix are idiots.Flag

Name: Casey on Dec 27, 2009Comments: All Netflix has to do is charge the prepaid card a initial deposit and/or make it so the account has a positive balance so that there money is guaranteed its simple for them they feel its just easier (cost efficient) to say F us well thats stupid a big company like them and they can't figure a way to help there customers... is it really that hard for netflix???Flag

Name: Laura on Jan 4, 2010Comments: Just found out Netflix will no longer accept my pre-paid cards. There is only ONE reason a subscription company would do this... To assure they can continue charging a card even after a customer no longer wants the service. I'm sure Netflix depends heavily on people forgetting that they are on a subscription service so they end up being charged when they don't even expect to be getting any movies. I do not use regular credit cards for subscription service as I have to keep canceling the credit cards when a service charges me even if I'm not interested in it any more. A prepaid credit card assures me that when the money runs out the service stops and I am no longer charged. I will not be rejoining Netflix unless this ban is removed as there are 100 other methods online to get entertainment for free anyway. It's a shame that when people TRY not to pirate a ban like this comes along and we're forced to all go right back to downlaoding and sharing movies for free again.Flag

My disability check is deposited to my us direct express mastercard and should be acceptible, at least offer an online only account or deposit account for movies via mail.Flag

Name: Tanisha Jackson on Jan 22, 2010Comments: Netflix's policies of not accepting prepaid and certain types of debit cards reflects underlying discrimination policies against poor minorities who don't always have access to traditional credit cards. Minorities should boycott this company because its obvious Netflix doesn't want our 'type' as customers. As long as a customer's debit or prepaid card is in good standing, they should have to accept this method of payment. If they accept traditional Visa cards, then they should have to accept cards with the VIsa logo. If companies pick and choose what they accept, then the prepaid card market ends because purchasers won't trust its acceptability. Who wants to buy a Visa prepay card if merchants won't accept them?Flag

Name: Rodney Gray on Jan 30, 2010Comments: This is unbelievable to me, I just found out that my card which has been used for many years at Netflix is no longer authorized as payment. It is the ONLY card I have and plan to have. Netflix are a bunch of complete idiots. I have sent friends to them and been raving about them to everyone for years... NO MORE. Netflix go to hell!Flag

Name: Cynthia Rodriguez on Feb 10, 2010Comments: I pay cash for EVERYTHING now, by choice, and only have a pre-paid credit card to use for renting cars, travel, and anything that requires a credit card. This allows me to technically still pay cash, while paying a small convenience fee for having the card. It is well worth it, and much, much less then the % I would pay using a regular credit card. I would love to have Netflix, but without an alternate payment method offered - I will not be able to do get an account. I hope they reconsider and/or choose different payment methods such as PayPal.Flag

Name: STEVEN on Mar 13, 2010Comments: This is what happens when a company gets so big and is run by a bunch of affluent idiots. Netflix has found yet another way to cut their staffing costs by not needing to monitor and follow up on dealing with the prepaid debit card issues that may arise. When Netflix ends up in bankruptcy court and lays off their employees, perhaps instead of paying the execs one last bonuscheck, they could give each one five thousand discs to take home and they could EAT THEM FOR DINNER.Flag
