Comments: Even though I am a woman I wanted to tell you that I totally agree with your statement. Custodial parents should be held accounted for where the money goes. But your petition should also reflect women who pay child support. The agencies and bureacrats should also be held accountable for the decisions and enforcements they assign. I wish there was some place I could go, to do something, to change what I consider unfair and unbalanced.

Comments: I pay an outlandish amount in child support, and the Judges in Erie County, PA act with impunity with no regard for the paying fathers. The system in that county is corrupt and when I get to the end of my CS paying term...I will contact the media and give them what I have found out.

Comments: I wholly agree to the proposed item above. I am the mother of a child for whom I receive child support. However, I do use all of the child support that I receive on my son or save towards his college tution. However, my husband is in the same situation, and we keep the kid more than 70% of the time. So the mother is spending money on her husband and two other children.

Comments: I agree that the custodial parent should account for how she is dispensing funds for the child. Our system can be used in a way to abuse the father and neglect the child if the mother's intentions are not what the Court intended with the child support award and I think she should be held accountable for this. Amen

Comments: I understand the Court's intentions for the child when they award support, but not all mothers allow the children to benefit from the support. I believe the laws should be just as thorough for her to be accountable for spending this money on the child, as they are for making sure the father pays to support. Times have changed and these outdated laws need to be revised. I just want my son to benefit from what I provide for him.

Comments: I'am a single mom, who has understood my x husbands hard times in not being able to find a job, The aggravation and hurt to the child isn't worth the court hell! I currently live with a great guy 3 years now, he has two X wifes and one child from each, he has always had a good job, and for 18 years has never missed a payment, he recently was hurt on the job, and was out of work, while waiting for compensation and their paper games, he finally got a comp check for $325 per wk from them, needless to say he had gone down to family court two weeks after he was injured to inform the courts of his situation, Ya, sure, they never gave a downward modification, and have him owing back support from his original paycheck, this is funny, between the oth of them it's about 30,0000 owed in less than a year! there is no fair for men in this sick game the goverment plays. I can't stand my X husband he is a total moran, But my daughter loves her dad, he is a very important person to her, Why would any mother keep her child from a Dad thatloves his kid, ok, loser, can't keep a job, But I'am not about $ 100 a week, My life is more important than that, My kids mental state is more important than that . Comments: I will help fight with what little I have to fight with. The cards are stacked against non-custodial fathers, especially in the state I live in. We need someone with the financial ability and a wealth of knowledge to help fight the unfair practices that this state engages in when dealing with non-custodial fathers.

Comments: I also have no problem paying child support when I know the money is being spent on my child. And if all the money doesn't get used for the child it should at least be put in an interest bearing account in the child's name for emergencies, and future use for the child.

Comments: I make 16.75 an hour and I have a 16 year old son i have raised. I made a mistake with a woman I dated for 2 years and now I have to pay $1100.00 a month for child support, childcare costs, and health insurance for one child! Is this fair I stay with less than $750.00 to pay my bills and take care of my son. 600.00 goes on my rent and I am heading for a financial disater. If it werent for my family helping me out my son and I would be living on the streets. Need help.

Comments: I feel you are doing a right thing by sticking up for fathers. I am a father who is paying way to much in support and I can/t seem to find a way to get it lowered. I pay a total of 128.00 a week and ionly take home 132.00 a week it seems hard to keep up with bills when you are paying for your exes bills, I can't even get ahead. Keep up the good work, I'm with you al the way. SH.
