my son Tony Martin Caine lll, Drown at a lake in Minneapolis, Minnesota, I was unaware of the state law that states no liability claim. so if your child or kids get hurt at a recreational center or a public beach, or lake, the state can't be held accountable. I feel parents should know what is at risk before their child are allowed to swim, or attend recreational center these places are suppose to be a safe enviroment for kids. I also think it is harsh that because the state passed this law for lake, its covers the right for lifeguards to not fulfill their job duties by protecting lives. my son died July 7, 2012. The lifeguards on duty allowed a thirteen years old in a eleven year old to pull my son out of the was, in the lifeguards did not know how to do CPR. so bystanders began doing improper CPR on my son who did died. I can not get justice for the lifeguards wrong doing in I think that is not fair. lifeguards have a protocol in a ethical codes that must uphold. but with the state law nothing will be done. until we change theses law a lot of deaf are going to go unpunished by lifeguards in I am going to make a stand for my son in I hope you do too thank you god bless.
