Because Canterbury UMC has grown large and diverse, it is easy to lose one's way among the masses. A few people, after surveying the larger church landscape in Birmingham and after listening to former Canterburians, are wondering if a smaller, gospel-centered service might have some appeal to both current members, prospects, and those who have never even considered Canterbury for their church home. We propose exploring the idea and then, if the research warrants it, proposing an alternative to the administration and ministers.
