   Comments: Exploiting the absence of a representative - when he was attending the Presidential inauguration, no less - to redraw the map in a flagrant grab for power is undemocratic at best. To convene after to celebrate a confederate hero on Martin Luther King day is to add insult to injury, and betrays sentiment underlying the bill - an intent to disenfranchise and silence minority voters. Everything about this bill and the way it was passed is deeply disturbing and I hope you will veto this bill and distance yourself from the covert, self serving politics it implies.
