UNC students deserve a health plan that is affordable, covers the full range of health care, and is on par with standard health insurance plans. Since the majority of health plans in the United States offer abortion coverage, it is common sense and expected that the UNC student health plan offers abortion coverage.
Anti-abortion groups are rallying to remove abortion coverage from the UNC insurance plan available to students. In effect, they are singling out a safe and legal health service and threatening to impede UNC students’ constitutional right to access abortion. Let the Board of Governors know that these anti-choice individuals do not speak for you!

This is ridiculous. Being a student is stressful enough without having to worry about insurance being gutted by people who dont even go here.
its basic coverage. why take it away? leave it alone.
Health care is health care. Stop messing with our options and let students decide what is best for their own bodies.
Unc needs to make sure we are protected. taking this away is just plain unfair to everyone who relies on university insurance.
So tired of people trying to dictate health choices for others. Keep the coverage as it is.
