Name: Katelyn Huynh on Mar 9, 2007Comments: There are many people (more than anyone would think) who are more comfortable living with the opposite sex than same sex. This new policy is completely unexpected and downright unfair to the students! What's fucked-up is that they haven't even announced or emailed us about the policy yet! Instead I had to find it out on facebook!!! Who really check for housing updates on the UMassD website anyway Why the hell should I waste my time re-reading the rules for housing every year just to make sure if there are any changes. It's the school's responsibility to inform us. I find it suspicious how they screwed us over last year with the 6 people apartment rule on the very last minute and now they're screwing us again on the last minute. Why couldn't they inform us last semester That would've given all of us more time. This new software that they came up with will not be "efficient and student friendly" instead it will cause more consequences and problems. They're asking for it.Flag

Name: Briana Richards on Mar 9, 2007Comments: I have been planning to live with my best friend, who is a boy, and he doesn't know any guys that he would want to live with. This is ridiculous, why can't they wait to get the glitches out and start using the program next year. I emailed Mr. Culatta, and he said "they ran out of time to fix it before housing selection" last time i checked...april 23rd was more than a month away, there's still time.Flag

Name: Mike Kane on Mar 9, 2007Comments: I'd like to know why we shouldnt be allowed to room co ed... we're all adults learning how to live after college, and there are no rules outside these walls that tell us that we cant live with the opposite sex. this rule is pointless and misdirected, living co-ed is a learning process in its self, it aids in the growth of an adult.Flag

Name: Aubrey Ramsdell on Mar 9, 2007Comments: The beauty of computer programming is that the code can be re-written. Let someone who knows what they're doing handle the situation, and co-ed housing will be possible. The university shouldn't be making excuses when we supposedly have such an "amazing" school. Shouldn't someone in computer engineering be able to figure this out, if we're so accomplishedFlag
