The petition

We, the undersigned students of the University of Maryland, College Park, have become aware of the fact that our university is supporting companies that employ laborers in sweatshop conditions. We believe that University apparel should be made in designated sweat-free factories, where workers have a voice on the job to stop sweatshop abuses and earn a living wage. Therefore, by signing this petition, we support Feminism Without Borders in its efforts to make the University of Maryland adopt the Designated Suppliers Program.
