Name: Michael JP Fitzgerald on Nov 26, 2012Comments: I struggle to accept each and every time a college or university sees fit to suppose it has a right to silence its student, or its faculty. A college should be a place of discourse, of argument, of the collision of ideas - and an environment welcoming to questions, be those questions of the country the university might find itself in, or the university itself. What possible worth in a place, or an idea, whose only defense is the silencing of opposition? This makes me uncomfortable. I expect much, much better from the UMass system.Flag

Shame UMass administration for stifling freedom of speech, assembly and official recognition behind the veil of bureaucratic mandates. Solidarity w/ ISO and all the other radical students at UMass!Flag
