Name: Mike Ashton on Jan 23, 2013Comments: This Premier Sports deal is sounding the death knell on the NHL in the UK. I'm sure the NHL would like to grow in this market not disappear. Unless this blackout policy is removed thousands of Brits will miss the playoffs & Stanley Cup Finals live. What a tragedy that would be. Please revoke this blackout contract now. Thank you.Flag

Name: Laura Burt on Jan 23, 2013Comments: It isn't fair that subscribers to GCL are missing out on games that are being blacked out due to Premier Sports. I don't have Sky, I don't even have a TV licence (I don't watch TV, so it doesn't warrant me having one) so why should I and many others in similar situations miss out because of this? Bring GCL back to how it was last year please.Flag

Name: Mark Fox on Jan 24, 2013Comments: have had gamecenter live for a few years, never had any problems. These blackouts are absolute rubbish, 1. its not a standard channel so shouldn't count as a 'national broadcast' 2. not everyone in the uk has access to sky and thus can't even get the channel... insane?! Very dissapointed in the nhl who obviously didnt do much research into premier sports and what it actually is and just taking there money to get a peice of the uk market. Instead of promoting hockey in the uk they are stopping some of the true hockey fans getting there fill.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 27, 2013Comments: Premier Sports is an expensive way for the hockey fan over here to watch the NHL. It is an add-on in their sports package and probably not that popular with the people who subscribe to the Premier Sports channel. Also many hockey fans over here (like myself) who happen also to be soccer fans or rugby union fans.......or even NFL fans ALREADY subscribe to an expensive sports package called Sky Sports. Hockey fans in the UK and probably most of Europe prefer/like the entire package of options given by NHL GameCenter Live. They are not that interested in "a few games." So you in effect are cheating them by saying "If you want the whole package buy both GCL AND PS." As I understand it you can't even get PS if you are not a Sky subscriber ( I subscribe to Virgin Media and they resell Sky Sports to me but I don't think this applies to PS) In effect you have slapped dedicated hockey fans in the face by saying "Oh yes you can buy our all inclusive hockey programme.......but by the way you won't be able to watch the real competition in it's entirety, because we have sold off most of the best bits to Premier Sports." You have allowed PS to "cherry pick" and are basically saying to GCL fans/subscribers "buy PS or suck it up" There was no real need for exclusivity as most hockey fans loved GCL and the casual fan who has bought PS could still watch the finals and the odd regular season game. You have disingenuously avoided mentioning it but PS are quite open about it, saying only they will have the Stanley Cup Finals. So not only will GCL subscribers not get some of the playoff games they will get NONE of the finals. Again you slap the European fans in the face as I am told the finals are free to view in Canada/USA That is pure greed and disrespectful to the real NHL fans over here and in fact you are cutting your own throat because I have friends who have chosen "other means to watch the NHL where the NHL won't receive ANY REVENUE rather than pay for GCL and PS. I will pay this year but your duplicity will not be rewarded next season. Why not think of the fans for once instead of taking them for granted. I would be very interested in PS viewing figures for NHL Hockey during the regularFlag

Name: Anonymous on Feb 5, 2013Comments: I live in Ireland, where Premier Sports explicitly states it is not available. Yet I still have a blackout enforced on any games they are showing, despite them actually actively declining to provide them to this country. So my understanding is that Premier Sports have the rights to show these games both in the UK and here in Ireland, have gotten Gamecenter to enforce blackouts on these games, and are then providing no method of actually watching these games.Flag

Name: Christopher Price on Apr 21, 2013Comments: the blackout restrictions have hugely affected my hockey viewing this season. premier sports sometimes don't even advertise the games they are going to blackout so when you go to watch a game you look forward to and find out it is blacked out it is unfair and should not be allowed to happen in the UK market.Flag

Name: Ade Akitoye on May 14, 2013Comments: I am very disappointed with the fact that we fans have to pay multiple times to enjoy a game of hockey. Premier sports is a horrible channel that is not worth extra subscription payment. I have been paying to get game centre for the past 3 years and have enjoyed every minute of it till this season. The blackouts has ruined my enjoyment and I might not get NHL Live Game Centre next year if this silliness continues.Flag
