I dont know what i am supposed to do if i want to watch the Devils live only to find it is blacked out and not even being shown on premier sports until the next day as a re-run! Very unhappy NHL well done for screwing us AGAIN!!Flag

Name: Joe Callaghan on Jan 19, 2013Comments: Time differences and Premier Sports being a specialist channel on a subscription satellite package makes NHL not available to everyone. I can't get the channel even if I wanted it, so GCL is my only option, yet this specialist channel has all the rights to the games. It seems like my only option is to forget the NHL, and watch AHL or some European hockey. Great!Flag

Name: MottledPear on Jan 19, 2013Comments: The NHL Game Center product for the UK is now basically worthless. This opening weekend, all games being shown on Premier Sports, whether live or tape delayed are blacked out on Game Center in the UK and when I spoke to customer service they could not tell me what the black out policy was for the UK nor could they confirm that tape delayed games would not be blacked out. How can you buy something where you have no idea what you will be shown? I called customer service and was told by the person I spoke to that we " would still have access to archived material "...is he and NHL serious that that is what people want primarily out of Game Center.Flag

Name: Stephen Mckeown on Jan 20, 2013Comments: I agree with what everyone has said. I've done the right thing and paid the nhl direct for streaming once again but find out i've been screwed over and couldnt watch the pens game (legally) tonight. SO next year i'll just ditch gcl completely and watch hooky streams rather than throw money down the drain. Premier sports have a 4 year contract by the way.Flag

Name: Mick Moss on Jan 20, 2013Comments: Giving a tinpot channel like Premier Sports a blackout clause in its licence is plain wrong. Proper NHL fans in the UK subscribe to your own GCL product for Live Hockey, to make sure they can see games they what when they want. Are you aware that Premier Sports isn't even a national broadcaster? It is only even available to purchase by SKY customers, and only 17% of households in the UK even have this service? What about the other 83% of us that use Cable or terrestrial, who PS do not/will not cater for?Flag

Name: Sebastian Egerton-Read on Jan 20, 2013Comments: A fairly indefensible and ridiculous decision. This isn't even a channel that is easily accessible to sky users, sky is very expensive and there just isn't an equal sign to be drawn between American TV and British TVFlag

Comments: NHL - you really hurt the development of your sport with the deal you did with Premier Sports last season. With ESPNA we had a great service; with PS the service was like going back 10 years to the awful debacle we had with Setanta. After seeing the shambles on offer with PS last season I cancelled my subscription (an adventure in itself, involving my bank writing to PS) and bought your GCL package. Far superior coverage, and thanks to being in the UK no blackouts. Yet now you have dealt us yet another blow by bowing to pressure from this abysmal channel in an obvious ploy to force us NHL fans into subscribing with them. We are not local to the games - we can't choose to buy a ticket to go watch the game at the arena. Our only option is PS or GCL. Hell, for people on Virgin they don't even have PS, so for them they are stuck with GCL, and that means no live playoffs at all. This is a very poor decision, and disgusting treatment of your fans in the UK after the lockout debacle. As they said at the time: "billionaires fighting with millionaires while the fans are forgotten". Never a truer word spoken.Flag -

Name: Christopher Preece on Jan 20, 2013Comments: I do feel misled as I signed up to NHL Gamecenter with the impression that all games would be available and to know that hardly any of the playoffs will be available is galling. I grudgingly decided to subscribe to Premier Sports as well even though they never bother showing any Ottawa games. I'm lucky to have Sky and not Virgin otherwise I'd be in a worse position. Unreasonable.Flag

Name: Tomi Lahdesmaki on Jan 21, 2013Comments: Please remove these horrible blackouts! I would understand it if they were blacked out but we had another option, to watch games easily on another service that was as good as Game Center, but we dont. Premier Sports is very obscure and hard to get on TV, online they are one of the worst streaming services I have ever come across. Horrible site, bad quality, no replays or game controls. Not to mention Premier Sports does not show full Hockey Night in Canada service. REMOVE THESE BLACKOUTS!!!Flag

Name: Brennan Wozencroft on Jan 21, 2013Comments: The reason I purchased NHL Game Center is to be able to have access to ALL NHL games since I am living abroad. I live in a building that does not have Sky, which does not allow me to purchase the Premier Sports. The quality of Premier Sports online is crap and unacceptable quality to pay for. This blackout sucks!Flag

Name: Thomas McIntosh on Jan 21, 2013Comments: Absolutely farcical. The GCL black out would be more understandable if; a) Premier Sports was available on all platforms, b) Only applied to live games not delayed, C) Greater assurance that Premier Sports was a quality product, from experience it streams in very low definition and invests in no pregame/in game analysis. The 48 hour blackout window is very punitive especially when you consider your team will have already played another game by that point. At the very least this should be reduced.Flag
