We need our stilted gait, our coat and our pigment, or we might as well open up the breed to a lifetime of rings filled with substandard stock which could be confused for shaved down shar pei, eurasiers or any other spitz.Chow Club or Kennel Club affiliations (optional):Flag

Abolishing any of these traits will do more harm to the breed than good. I will not support nor should I have to follow the what is so called "revised standards" to make the chows look inferior. Chow Chows are regal and well buit. They should not make to look like a coyte or a fox. What is wrong with you peopleChow Club or Kennel Club affiliations (optional):Flag

This petition address the issues I saw when I first read the proposed changes. The will not improve the breeds health and they will be changing the breeds charactoristics. This sort of man made changes is what started the issues behind the BBC broadcast and should not be repeated.Chow Club or Kennel Club affiliations (optional):Flag

There are many factors involved, selection and breeding, the role dogshows play in selecting breeding stock, but vaccinations, food, the way we keep pets these days and what we expect from them might be important too.Chow Club or Kennel Club affiliations (optional): member of the Dutch Chow Chow ClubFlag

Name: Anonymous on Dec 18, 2008Name (plus kennel name which is totally optional): Bryan J PynnCountry: USConstructive comments appeciated (optional): This new standard is in-part supported and proposed by an entity (PETA) which knows nothing of the breed and its history. PETA has no cares, other than their own agenda, as to what happens to the breed, its breeders, and its spectators if this new standard were passed. Further, those breeders (amateur and accomplished) which have frozen semen being stored for breeding purposes will lose not only their money invested in obtaining and storing this sperm (due to anticipated lack of demand) but will also lose notoriety and future business due to these changed standards. Please do not go forward with those amendments which we, the petitioners, propose. Thank you.Chow Club or Kennel Club affiliations (optional): Chinarose ChowsFlag

They have perfect legs with magnificent joints and muscles which correspond to the existing standard. They superb move and accompany with me on all travel and walks. They are really healthy dogs who also have much greater victories over show. I consider, that it is necessary to give attention to training of judges and to allocate with a new paragraph in the standard real problems: it entropion and cautious character.Chow Club or Kennel Club affiliations (optional): RKFFlag
