Name: Jon Kosley on Apr 23, 2005State: FLCountry: USComments: Stop allowing puppies to be bred. The current age is 8 months old for a female to be bred. You wouldn't want nor let you own child be bred at such a young age. The dogs are still imature and physically not ready to be a strong mother. Please increase the age minimum to atleast 1 year of age or better.Flag

Name: Alicia Ivie on Apr 23, 2005State: WACountry: USComments: 1 year is still way to young this is crazy! I say at the very least 18 months for bitches to be bred and 12-14 months at the least on all males. All litters registered should only be registerable to the owner of the dam and puppy temps sent only to the address on the dams paperwork, as this would help in situations where people are forging litter registrations. Another great tool for responsible breeders is for all puppy temps to have the option of full registration or limited like the AKC does this way poor specimens of the breed can be designated as such by the breeder on the paperwork and registered as so.Flag
