Currently, United Healthcare is scheduled to celebrate MLK Jr. Day as a company holiday starting in 2009 in order to reflect the company's stance on diversity. This petition is being formed to request that the executives of UHC remove MLK Jr. Day as a company holiday and replace it with Veteran's Day in remembering the 250 years of men and women, black and white, who sacrificed and sometimes died in the service of thier country.
