Graduation day is a special moment in every student’s life. A proud occasion which remains with each one of us for a lifetime, captured as memories in photographs we keep forever and show our loved ones. Every one of us strives to be remembered looking our best in presentable, honourable and prestigious robes on that special day we step forward to collect our hard earned degrees.
After many years of complaints from generations of UEA students regarding the unsatisfactory colour and design of the robes we have decided to take action to make this year a year where we bring an end to the brightly uncoordinated colours of the graduation robes and bring forward an elegant and classic graduation robe which represents the traditions of a true graduation ceremony.
We call on students of UEA to take action now in making a difference to your graduation by signing this petition in saying yes to new graduation robes tailored with academic class and decency, yes to graduation robes being unforgettable for the right reasons and yes to representing ourselves and the university with the pride and the tradition of a graduation ceremony we deserve.
It cannot be stressed enough that a big response is needed now for this change to happen.
