Ubuntu one server must be open source

Canonical through the name of Ubuntu wants to make open source software available to the general public. Unfortunately, they decided that being a service, the server part of the cloud software Ubuntu One won't be open source.
We all know how making Ubuntu One open source would give opportunity to this service not only to add some missing features that currently make it worst than other services, but also to allow us to improve what has already been implemented.
We, as users of Ubuntu One, we, as a part of the Ubuntu community, we, as defender of free software, are asking Canonical to fully release sources of the server part of Ubuntu One under a license compatible with the definition of free software.

Thank you very much.
