ÜBER is much like a Taxi service, the only difference is that its operated through the ÜBER app on smart phones. We aren't saying that we want to get rid of ÜBER because that isnt realistic but we want to inform our school community about ÜBER'S negavtive environmental impacts and if you agree please sign our petition and comment what you think about this issue so we can take further action by emailing ÜBER so we can tell them what the people think that they are providing the service to. Taxi's get emission checked which is also known as a drive clean test and we believe that ÜBER should be going through the same process. ÜBER cars should be electric and hybrid since those are much greener and better for our environment. ÜBER cars cannot be more than 15 years old, but is it safe for you or the environment to have cars that old driving around in our community for hours? We conducted a survey throughout our school and more than 75% people said that they would feel safer if the car was 7.5 years old maximum. Driving.ca states that Überx can pass company vehicle inspections but fails Ontario Ministry of Transportationminimum safety standards and that is an area of concern. You guys may think that this doesnt effect you but trust me it does , it is our job to take care of our environmet so please sign this petition because every petition counts!
