For U6 soccer I want too see the referees be removed, and let the coaches run the games. We can not coach 4 and 5 year olds from 40 feet away. I see coaches including myself, yelling across the field to direct a player, and they rarely respond with everything else going on. At this age we are introducing the sport and letting the kids have fun. Some of the kids are not even in kindergarten yet. We as coaches need to show them where to start on a kick off, how to kick it in and where to stand on a kick in. Even which side of the ball to start on can be a task, and these things are on almost every start. For a lot of kids this is their 1st time playing an organized sport. At this age especially they need a lot of directing, encouragement and Praise. When we are on the field it is very easy to do so. On the side lines they barley hear us over everything else going on. It feels like we have our hands tied behind our backs. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!
