| 506 | David Ledger | Maybe my interest is because I used to work on embedded typesetter software at Linotype, but Type is a fascinating subject. |

| 508 | John A. Lane | These materials are of the utmost historical importance and most are unique. They must remain accessible for researchers. If the collections are split up, a great deal of their historical value will be lost: in the Stephenson Blake collection, for example, there are inventories linking types in the type specimen books to sets of matrices in the matrix safes. If the specimens were to go the V & A and the matrices to the Science Museum, it would be almost impossible to make use of these inventories. |

| 513 | John Williamson | The fact that this museum contains so much detail about such a history shaping subject must be reason enough for it’s continuing existence. |

These skills should

the printing industry |
| 515 | John Rose | As an ex-Comp I can only support this petition. Sadly, I don't hold out much hope - with the constant decimation of our heritage. Perhaps the Trustees(sic) of the Type Museum will see sense? |
