Name: Debbie Elms on Mar 14, 2011Comments: I have been stuck at this station for hours in the past. The staff are always helpful and trying there best but it's just too many people for the station. I have also missed connecting trains home in the passed and had a long cold wait at Reading station so anything that can prevent that would make the experience more enjoyable. I have event stood in the mail carriage in the past because it was taking so long and the trains were all so full.Flag

Name: George David Thorneycroft on Mar 14, 2011Comments: I fully support the above petition but would like to inlcude the scheduling of trains from various parts of the country which may not be as popular as other areas. This makes rail journeys fairly difficult and thus not a viable alternative to travel by road. As an example, I live in Stoke on Trent, which has its own rail station. Trains travel through Stoke London bound. Stoke is situated mid way between Manchester and Birmingham yet it is difficult to find trains to Twickenham (via London) that stop at Stoke. This means I will have to travel to Manchester, Stafford ( not as big as Stoke) or Birmingham to ensure I can arrive in time for a game and then see the game to its end before returning to the rail station for th return journey.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 14, 2011Comments: I think the rail staff do a very good job to manage the volume of fans leaving and arriving at Twickenham, but the experience of queuing in the cold and often wet after a game is not an appealing one and is one that colours my view of the Twickenham experience, especially in light of the costs of the tickets now. You pay top dollar and you therefore expect a premium experience. The crush on the way in to a game is always handled in a light hearted manner because we are rugby fans, but I don't think it would be allowed for a football game.Flag

Name: Jmtwix on Mar 14, 2011Comments: The station badly needs updating from its tired 1950's design that is totally unsuitable for major events, and inadequate for regular users and commuters. I very much hope that the RFU can work with Network Rail, the Council, TFL and the GLA to contribute to a world class station in time for RWC 2015. Firstly, the ridiculous high-rise tower block proposal from Solum Regeneration needs to be rejected, then design of an attractive and efficient station can begin. For more info on the station proposals visit the Twickenham Residents Action Group "Save Our Skyline" campaign website at www.trag-sos.co.ukFlag

Name: David Ring on Mar 14, 2011Comments: Having been to Twickenham to watch both international and other games over the past 35 years the station does not now seem capable of handling the crowds that attend all the games - both club and internationals. It is time the station refelected the quality of the sporting venue(s) it serves.Flag
