Newfoundland & Labrador Needs Long-Term Treatment

Newfoundland and Labrador is in desperate need of a long-term drug addictions treatment facility in our province to assist the people who are already, or have just begun, to be caught up in a life of drug abuse. Addiction is not a choice and whether it directly affects your life or not - this is a community problem. We all need to be a part of the solution and put forth the public will to make positive changes in Newfoundland and Labrador. We are asking that you share your personal experience of drug addictions with us so that we may compile these, along with this petition, to our Provincial Government in our effort to have a long-term treatment facility established in our province. We will keep all responses confidential and anonymous. Please forward your experience to turnings@nf.aibn.com (Tel) 709.754.1010 OR (Fax) 709.754.2784 to help us in this effort. SPEAK OUT and Turnings Will Speak for You! A few guidelines for comments may include the following: - Are you in favor of a long-term treatment facility for drug addictions in Newfoundland & Labrador Why - Have you personally been affected by drug abuse and/or drug related crime - Do you feel that there are currently sufficient resources in our social system to cope with the current drug epidemic in our province - All other thoughts, comments and opinions are welcome. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION!
