Name: Juno Sylva Englander on Mar 16, 2003State:Country: ATComments: Peace is the only way. It is not a question of who is for Saddam Hussein or against. it is a question of either going the path of war and therefore killing and maiming hundreds of thousands again, or of tying the way of peace, the way of Germany, France and Russia. Please listen to the people of the world! Vote for peace!Flag

Name: Robert Norberg on Mar 16, 2003State: DCCountry: USComments: This is an email I sent to President Bush, tongue-in-cheek, on 26 Feb: [By email] February 26, 2003 Dear President Bush: I read yesterday that the U.S. is going to pay or loan Turkey about $24-billion to give us military base access for a war with Iraq. The price tag is so high, they say, because if the war were put to a referendum, about 95 percent of the Turks would vote NO. I am an American citizen and a Democrat and if they had a referendum here in the U.S., I would vote NO on it just like the Turks. But if I were paid enough, say $5,000, I would not only vote for war, I would vote for YOU in the next election. And I have a lot of relatives and friends, all of them Democrats, whose money lust overwhelms their consciences on a regular basis and who would jump at this deal. Now, Mr. President, this is a Before War Deal for the five thou. I have every expectation that this adventure is going to turn sour in a dozen different ways, and that your Administration will be in grave political trouble come 2004. So starting with the first cruise missile on Baghdad, the price will go up $1,000 a month until Election Day. BUY NOW! I AM FOR SALE! Robert L. Norberg Washington, D.C.Flag
