| 501 | Tracey Grown | Please preserve the Tuolumne, a great and beautiful river area that we would very much like generations to enjoy for its flora and fauna. |

| 505 | Nancy Monson | We need to find other ways to deal with water needs. These rivers are critical to the health of the ecosystems they cross. Just look at the impacts to Mono Lake and the surrounding areas when too much water was diverted. It devastated the fish populations, created huge air pollution problems and eventually severely impacted the bird populations that use Mono Lake's waters and food source. I do not support this additional diversion, even though I live in the Bay Area. Let's find another, more long-term sustainable solution to the need for water.
Thank you for taking our petition seriously! |

| 514 | Jeff Mischkinsky | We have a severe issue with water mis-management and waste in this state. As usual, the most cost effective way to solve the problem is use our existing resources more efficiently. It is almost always cheaper to conserve and be more efficient than increase supply. |

| 543 | Anna McGuire | There will come a day when clean water is more valuable than oil. Through conservation, better planning, and grey water use we could save instead of squander one of our most precious resources and commodities. The SFPUC needs to anticipate a time when the water will not be enough for the growing population. Will we still have a river? Will San Francisco and the agricultural regions still have access to water. Now is the time to protect the river and the needs of the people.
The Tuolumne River creates many special recreational opportunities for California families. We need to care for our resources and the fish and wildlife that depend on river flows. By continually diverting the water we will forever lose these special features that make California the beautiful state we imagine. |

| 547 | An increase in the use of native plants, replacement of landscape sprinklers with drip irrigation systems, subsidization of efficient appliances and fixtures, could reduce water use in our area by half, easily. |
