Tumbling Class at Elon University
As Elon we are enabled with several different courses and techniques that allow us as artists to succeed in our ever changing business. We are equipped with dance classes, vocal classes and acting classes; all of which provide us with the necessary tools that ready us for a career after we leave Elon University.
However, as the Musical Theatre Industry changes to a more physically demanding industry, the necessity for a tumbling class increases. As a student body, we would like to bring this opportunity to Elon.
Mickey Uram, Nicole Urams father, has been able to teach us tumbling for the past 2 weeks. As we had limited time with Mr. Uram we were not able to achieve as many goals as our ambition would have allowed. However, the desire has not diminished since his leaving.
After some discussion with Mr. Uram, he has expressed his interest in teaching an actually class for Elon University. Attached are the names of several students who have reciprocated that interest.
Of course, this may not happen over night. This is merely a proposal of the interest the Elon Performing Arts students have in such a class.
