Comments: Education should be secular and non-political. Anything that chips away at this principle, including links, however tenuous, to the church ought to be resisted vigorously.

Comments: I am seriously concerned that as a result of these proposed admissions arrangements children in Solihull will find themselves discriminated against on the basis of their parents’ religion or belief. As a consequence, I would question the legality of what is being proposed

Comments: I guess we have to change our faith before we can apply to Tudor Grange - It actually doesn't matter what the stats and forecasts say it's DISCRIMINATION plain and simple.

Comments: As a mother of 3 boys all at Hockley Heath school hoping to go to Tudor Grange I am concerned. If we don't get in where will pupils from Hockley Heath be sent? Also I would like all to go to same school as we are a close family and they would not like to be separated. We are one of the families furthest in the current catchment area and would stand to lose out first. There are no obvious local secondary schools for my children to walk to. Some of the proposed pupils live within walking distance of other very good seconday schools. Has the gree travel plan for the county been considered?

Comments: Why would a school put the needs of children educated in a faith school ahead of the needs of its local children ? This looks like religious discrimination to me. Does the school consider people of this faith superior ? This proposed policy makes me feel very uncomfortable.

Comments: i continue to make my feelings felt on behalf of our family living in the area that i am disappointed at the approach the school is taking which lets down the immediate children who would in normal cases be entitled to attend this school. why should 2 faith schools be given priority over our children. when TGA is not a faith school. Too discriminate against our children is not good practice.

Comments: Appalled that such a respected school can attempt this. Talk about discrimination. Not sure I even want my children attending a school where the Management shows little effort to engage parents in such major changes.

Comments: Tudor Grange is funded by the taxpayer, as such it should have a secular approach to education. If Tudor Grange wishes to be essentially faith based, then let it join the private sector. Otherwise, the number 1 recruitment criteria should be all children in the immediate catchment area.

Comments: Tudor grange is a non-faith school so why give priority to ST J and ST A? Is is basic descrimination. Fair enough for ST J as they are struggling and are in need of support. But they still shouldn't have prioity over catchment kids and siblings. Wheras St A are a good school and are not in need of a high acieving academy. Many People have raised their average morgage to get a place in Tudor Grange paying more than they can actually afford. In hope of getting their child a good education, thinking in the long run it will be worth it. But what now?

Comments: I resist the appalling manner in which Tudor Grange Academy has progressed its intentions to change its admissions policy. The process is a sham and reflects the way in which the school has been managed since it became an Academy with the adoption of a covert and autocratic approach in the way it is run. The Academy must be reminded that it EXISTS TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY and not the teachers and governors personal agenda.
