I really hope there is another way that hasn't been thought of yet, and this petition will delay the ultimate decision and provide to come up with a better compromise.Flag

Name: Garrett Walther on Oct 2, 2012Comments: Allow me to start by stating exactly a year ago, I decided to commit to Towson University for baseball. Not only did I choose this school for baseball but also the love of the campus and student life. I grew up a couple blocks away from this university and remember going to watch the baseball games when I was a little kid with my father, wishing that one day I would have the opportunity to play for the Tigers. Now i understand that it's all about the money but I don't think you guys understand what this event is causing me. I am very disappointed in the fact that this solution has crossed your mind as the baseball team is one of if not the best mens sport at Towson. Within two hours of the news leaking about this, FaceBook as well as Twitter blew up with tremendous support for the baseball team using the "#saveTUbaseball" from non-student athletes to students that do not even go to our university. Baseball is a must have at a D1 program and cutting us would destroy the alumni as well as the legacies our alumni built for us. Not only are my teammates and I very upset by this but also many of my student friends here at Towson and are supporting us strongly. I just can't see how you can take away a team full of dreams and years of hard work to cut the program. This is my life and to be honest I feel as if you don't care one bit and to you it's all about the money. Well allow me to tell you that we have support and will not allow this to occur.Flag
