Name: Paul Sitton on Dec 30, 2012Comments: I would like to show my disappointment at the decision made by David Lloyd not to renew his contract. I have had lessons with many coaches at David Lloyds in Milton Keynes and found Daniel to be the best. He has always been 100% professional I have been with Daniel for at least once a week for the last 2 1/2 years I believe he has great support in the club and we don't want him to go. Hopefully enough people with sign this in a show of support and David Lloyd will reconsider there decision.Flag

Comments: Daniel is an exceptional coach and without doubt his contract must be extended. He is the best at DL, do not let him go!Flag -

Name: Mike Griffiths on Dec 30, 2012Comments: I do not understand this decision. Daniel is not only a popular coach he is incredibly hard working. Apart from that his off court manner is of one of the most sociable and friendly. Being greeted, welcomed and engaged with is an esential part of the atmosphere needed at the club to maintain members and encourage new. Whilst I understand contract renewals need to be primarily a management decision I hope that there will be time to reflect and take into consideration members views.Flag

Name: Sarah Sitton on Dec 30, 2012Comments: This is outrageous! I think DL should be aware that now there are other great health clubs in MK it's important not to let a large number of their members down. Even though DL isn't a private members health club surely members should still have some influence on this decision?Flag

Name: Sam on Dec 30, 2012Comments: This is ridiculous, the club should be there to serve members and provide better service and facilities, by getting rid of one of the better coach it's doing the opposit. Not only is Daniel professional when on court giving lessons, but he also shows that he has passions and want his clients or players to improve and enjoy the game of tennis.Flag

Name: Ratna Morjaria on Dec 30, 2012Comments: Disappointment would be an understatement!! Daniel is a hardworking, passionate and talented coach who has significantly helped improve my tennis and undoubtedly brought out the talent of my daughters through sheer hard work and encouragement. Having a coach who can potentially provide the stepping stones to youungsters as well as still encouraging us veterans to play at a good level is most definitely an outstanding quality of his coaching attributes. I really hope and trust that DL management will take the time to reconsider their decision based also on the member feedback.Flag

Name: Mayur Morjaria on Dec 30, 2012Comments: This is 2012 and there has been so much sport coverage it has been delightful. Parents play a vital role in any sporting career. However the role of a COACH is more important than the sport itself. As only a true coach will organically enhance and nurture relationships with each and every pupil Daniel is that person. We need David Lloyd Leisure management to dig deep and place themselves in the customers shoes and reconsider their decision. It will take true leadership combined with emotional intellegence of the highest order and I for one have full faith in the management team to turn this disappointment into a WIN/WIN situation for all.Flag

He has coached me for over 3 years and by far has been the best tennis coach in terms of charisma, kindness, patience, communication and skills transfer. It has touched me so much that my parents, brother and I have made a decision to quit if Daniel leaves. I would prefer to belong to a club whose practice is fair and just.Flag

Name: Tunde Oloni on Dec 31, 2012Comments: It came as a great shock and disappointment to me that David Lloyd through some 'persons' do not intend to renew Daniel's contract. My family and I have known and trained with Daniel since he joined David Lloyd. We have trained with other trainers but Daniel is very different. He is outstanding and professional. You could easily tell, that he has passion for the sport and he is certainly promoting it. If David Lloyd wants to stay true to its aims and objectives, Daniel is the last person whose contract should not be renewed. I honestly hope that those 'persons' would own up to their ulterior motive for not wanting to renew Daniel's contract and not hide under the umbrella of some frivolous reasons for not wanting to renew his contract. These 'persons' have a reputation for stifling good and sound tennis coaches they believe are a threat to them and want to eliminate them. God bless you Daniel and you would certainly be vindicated and saved from these 'persons' or should I say sharks or snakes with venom... Just shows my irritation to this injustice. They should not get away with this!Flag

Name: Agnes on Dec 31, 2012Comments: Yes Members do Have a Voice too!!!! As a member of David Llyod I thought I will never ever have to get involved in this kind of situation again as a similar incident occurred about 4 years ago with this same Daniel who was suspended based on some flimsy excuses. Members had to fight to reinstate him at the time. I thought lessons would have been learnt from that incident of 4 years ago. I now believe firmly that David Lloyd should implement a system where contract renewals of coaches would require consultation with the members who will decide whether a coach's contract deserves a renewal. The scenario here is that Daniel's passion for the sport is so exceptional that many members both juniors and adults have developed a strong bond and personal relationship with him on and off the court - this cannot be said about the other coaches. If Daniel leaves, there is no point in my family staying in a club that does not put the interest of its members first before taking a decision which can impact them negatively. David Lloyd as a fitness and health club should realise that when members are faced with this kind of distasteful outcome, they are affected mentally and emotionally - we should be channelling our energy towards promoting the club as oppose to demoting it.Flag
