In support of Troops who serve Canada and those who have paid the ultimate price, we ask for family members signatures and support. To honour our second, third and fourth tour Afganistan Vetrans: Did you know that our forces personel only receive one medal for their first Tour of Afganistan Some vetrans have seen two, three or four tours with a General Campaign Star or General Campaign Medal for their first tour only. These military men and women have placed their lives in grave danger during each deployment to AFGANISTAN. Recognition should be a Silver number 2, 3 or 4 added to their first "STAR or METAL Ribbons" and/or a "COMBAT BADGE" added to their uniform. The United Nations issues the appropriate numeral for tours of duty. Canada should do the same. We the undersigned feel this CAN be resolved immediately by our politicians.

P R, Canada7 years ago Comments: Stupid idea. Read a bit about Heraldry, History and Heritage in Canada. There are no numerals on the Campaign Stars of the First and Second World Wars. Its all the same Campaign. The number of 'tours; is irrelevant - just as the geographic location might also change some day. The Star is the Campaign Against Terrorism - not for an Afghan tour
