we actually pulled it off and triathlon is officially on the table for the games. i cant believe how much energy you all put into this but we really did it. ill keep an eye on things to make sure the plans stick but for now just celebrate.
just hit 100 signatures which is honestly way faster than i thought. thanks for jumping on this so quickly because it really shows people care about seeing triathlon in the sea games.

im still pushing hard behind the scenes to get this on the agenda for the games. hearing from so many athletes who want a shot at competing is exactly why i started this.

Triathlon is a very dynamic sport which cultivates both physical and mental toughness of an individual. Depriving it of haven and withdrawal of support of government would mean slowly killing the sport itself. Why remove or change something that works? When something is broken or wrong, we fix it. Not throw it away.

Sometimes it is not only about the medal (not that we are lack of talents for the podium). Triathlon as a complete sport has gained popularity in Malaysia. Why do you think Ironman and Challenge Family brought their races to Malaysia

Triathlons are very popular in Malaysia and s.e.a. my daughter and I fly all over Asia to compete. Everywhere we compete, there are thousands of competitors. Triathlons must stay in sea games. Malaysia is very successful in this event.

It's ridiculous they're even considering removing triathlons especially since Malaysia managed a silver last time. We have many up and coming triathletes so it'll be a shame if they never get a chance to earn a medal for Malaysia

I don't understand something of such wide public appeal ( due to a rapidly growing number of participants) being left out! It is one of the best sports for all round fitness of the entire body so growing interest should be fostered by including it in the SEA Games

Triathlon is an Olympic sport and has a great following in south east Asia. This could be a real showpiece event for the games and I hope everyone will support the move to have Triathlon reinstated for the 2017 Games.
