Mysore City Corporation (MCC) wants to butcher / slaughter 293 trees to construct an international standard / level and/or truly world class treeless hallucinatory 4.8 Km of Royal Path called the Raja Marga along/on the world famous annual / yearly Dasara Procession / Jumboo Savari route in Mysore.

I am going to send the second part in my next email as there is no space left in this email to type / include more matter.

I (Syed Tanveeruddin) have translated the letter written in Kannada by the Superintending Engineer (SE) of Mysore City Corporation (MCC) to the Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF), Mysore into/to English.

Sir,

Subject: Regarding giving / granting of permission to fell / cut / axe / chop / butcher / slaughter / raze the necessary trees that come on (the truly world class) Raja Marga / Royal Path (of International Standards / Level).

Regarding the above mentioned subject work has been (already) started to develop the existing roads (Albert Victor Road, Sayyaji Rao Road and Dr. Nelson Mandela Road) into a Raja Marga / Royal Path from Mysore City's Hardinge Circle to/till T.N. Narasimhamurthy or Millennium Circle (near the LIC office) by taking / utilizing funds under/from the Hon'ble/Honourable Chief Minister's (Chief Minister of Karnataka's) Rs.100.00 crore special grant/grants. The world famous Dasara Procession / Jamboo Savari route passes through these roads. This/The concerned plan has been designed on the benchmark / benchmarked level of (truly world class) International Standards. On these roads various small and big / huge / mammoth / jumbo-sized (full-grown or fully grown) trees are there with their roots spread out or having (been) spread out. In the proposed plan of Raja Marga works storm water drains on both the roadsides and separate / independent / exclusive ducts are to be constructed to make arrangements for electricity cables and telephone cables (for BSNL / Tata / Reliance / Airtel / Idea / etc.)

During the concerned works there is a possibility of some/few trees falling down / collapsing because of which there is a possibility of occurrence of accidental/achaanak loss of (movable/immovable) property/properties and deaths/injuries/pains or loss of lives. Inspite of it / this, permission had been requested / sought in the referenced letter to fell / cut / axe / chop / butcher / slaughter / raze 58 trees by/after saving some trees. But since the Raja Marga / Royal Path work/works has/have been designed as per the benchmark / benchmarked level of (truly world class) International Standards more trees have to be felled / cut / axed / chopped / butchered / slaughtered / razed. Numbers have been provided / given to all the existing trees starting from T.N. Narasimhamurthy or Millennium Circle to the Hardinge Circle. There are 190 trees on the Left Side of the roads and also 203 trees on the Right Side of the roads. The total number of trees is 393. The details of the trees that are to be felled / cut / axed / chopped / butchered / slaughtered / razed are as seen / mentioned below.

058 trees as per the ISI or BIS specifications->Desi / Deshi / Swadeshi / Indigenous version of the Royal Path / Raja Marga

293 trees as per the ISO specifications--------->Videshi or International Standard / Level or the world class version of the Royal Path / Raja Marga

Therefore, the quality standard / level of the Royal Path / Raja Marga is directly proportional to the number of trees felled / cut / axed / chopped / butchered / slaughtered / razed.

I'll be complaining to the Karnataka Lok Ayukta by Wednesday, March 23, 2011 with all the necessary documents regarding the mal-administration of Dasara Procession (Jamboo Savari) route and dereliction of duty by the Mysore City Corporation or MCC Commissioner and the Conservator of Forests (CF), Mysore Circle (failure to prevent 293-300 perennially shade giving trees from being felled unnecessarily in the name of the hallucinatory Raja Marga).
