Comments: Just so you understand, Paramount does not own the rights to Star Trek. CBS does. Current plans call for another Star Trek film to be sent to theaters on June 29, 2012. All of CBS's and Paramount marketing and production focus will be funneled into this blockbuster movie project. While CBS does not see the TNG cast and 24th/25th century storyline as completely dead and buried, they do understand that the characters of Picard, Data, and Worf were the primary draw for most fans and non-fans. Riker and Troi would not be able to carry a significant television audience. (To be honest, I doubt even Patrick Stewart would get his own TV series at the moment, but Frakes and Sirtis wouldn't have a chance. I love them both, but they don't have the star power in Hollywood at the moment.) CBS will still license the TNG property, so you are certain to see books about Titan. But any Star Trek television endeavor done while efforts are focused toward the big screen will only distract from the latter's success. Fans won't understand that statement (how could MORE Star Trek possibly be bad?--the answer, of course, is dilution of uniqueness of the brand in the marketplace). But trust me, the bean counters at CBS (and Paramount) are very aware that all hands need to be on the deck of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-JJ rather than the deck of the USS Titan. Good luck with the petition, but don't get your hopes up. There's a lot of marketing and business strategy behind the decisions that are made in Hollywood, and "fans" are only the tiniest fraction of a percentage of the equation. We think we count for more, but we actually don't. It's nothing to get pissed about--it's just business...multi-million dollar business.

Comments: I appreciate the well written response as anonymous. My idea is a mini-series that could be Two 2hr shows or adjustable like Four 1 hour episodes. Like in the old days (north/south,thornbirds mini-series etc.) (not a TV series for 7 + years) Cable shows are excited when they get 4 or 5 rating while regular networks are still looking at 10+ million viewers. With all due respect some of the syfy movies made are B movies at best with only one named star (example Shannen Doherty The Lost Treasure of the Grand Canyon *Love her but movie not so good) A built in audience would get a automatic draw of Trekkers/Trekkies Science Fiction Fans.

Comments: Star Trek TNG deserves a better swan song than "Nemesis"! The best TNG movie was "First Contact." A "Titan" miniseries is the perfect way to give the TNG crew the proper farewell they deserve!

Comments: Dear Paramount/CBS Please do this. The TNG cast is the most popular of all the Star Trek shows to this very date. While the reboot movie was great and started an alternate time-line there is no reason you couldn't do this. It would be awesome! Please please please please!
