Name: DANILO GIORDANI on Jan 14, 2003State: FLCountry: USComments: TIME HAS COME TO SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH FOR THIS ABSURD EMBARGO AND TRAVEL BAN TO CUBA, TO PLEASE SPECIAL INTEREST CREATED AND THE EXTREME RIGHT WING THAT IS A MINORITY IN THE EXILE COMMUNITY ,ALSO WITH THEIR REPRESENTATIVES IN THE CONGRESS ,THAT ARE FOCUSING ONLY TO TIGHTEN THE EMBARGO POLICY ,INSTEAD TO FOCUS ON THE VERY SERIOUS NEED OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY!!!. WORLD OPINION IS TURNING MORE AND MORE AGAINST USA FOR THIS ABSURD POLICY FOR MY OPINION THIS IS A TOTAL DISGRACE AND AT A SAME TIME THIS LAW VIOLATE OUR RIGHT TO FREELY TRAVEL TO CUBA AND I AM SURE IT VIOLATES THE PRINCIPLE OF THE CONSTITUTION. IT IS ETHICALLY AND MORALLY WRONG TO KEEP A WALL AROUND CUBA,SO NEAR TO US BUT AT THE SAME TIME SO FAR FOR A COUNTRY THAT DOES NOT PUT ANY THREAT TO THE SECURITY OF USA, AND THAT IS WILLING TO OPEN A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE,Flag

Name: Steve Guerra on Jul 6, 2004State: FLCountry: USComments: The embargo is over 40 yrs old and has occomplished nothing, I see no gain in a policy that seperates familys from seeing each other, also as an American citizen I would like to be free to make my own choice of where and wich countries I would travel to.Flag

I do not think it is right that the govt can deny us the right to assist our family. We have relations with other countries such as China. Cuba is no threat to the US.Flag

Name: Anonymous on May 25, 2007State:Country: DEComments: i am married to a cuban and sometimes wonder why the embargo has lasted so long...incidentally we live in germany and have no restrictions on travelling to cuba..this embargo is down to the stubborness of the U.S. Government that it does not want to establish relations with cuba until Castro is dead..why Cuba is a wonderful country and its people are one of the most friendliest in the world. I am not communistic in any way but but until the U.S. lifts this embargo then the people of cuba will always suffer. As a european i want to live in cuba but find it increasingly difficult because of the embargo as its hard to obtain everyday goods to which i'm used to. Come on America get your act together and end it !!!Flag
