We, the undersigned, as content and civil citizens of the United States of America, followers of the Constitution and its Bill of Rights, and voters of this government feel our liberties of free travel are lost.
Regarding Cuba and its government, we will not argue nor do we wish to debate political issues outside of travel and tourism, that is not our interest. We, the undersigned, do feel however that travel embargo should be lifted.
Under the United State’s government’s current policy, Americans are denied their constitutional rights to travel to Cuba, which hurts the United States travel and tourism industry, which as you know is one of the biggest within our great country. This policy punishes the people of Cuba and America and it must be changed.
Other than licensed travelers to Cuba, other citizens are not allowed to view the beauty of a country that decides not to mirror our society and government. As travelers a great resource of leisure, learning, and experience has been denied.
We, the undersigned, ask you our leaders to review the current situation. We ask respectfully that you recognize your exertion is for our greater good, and we trust you will make the correct decision always as you have in the past. |
