I AM FOR THE MIL INCREASE WHICH WAS STATED ON THE CITY OF PREQUE ISLE WEBSITE AND STATED AS FOLLOWS: How does PAYT affect my property taxes? Without PAYT, there would have been an increase in property taxes of 0.6 mils to pay for the loan made to fund the recently completed landfill expansion. This mil increase would amount to a $60 increase for a $100,000 home. With PAYT, there was a decrease in the solid waste budget, which allowed 2011 City taxes for municipal services to remain the same as 2010. I AM FOR THE TAX INCREASE RATHER THEN THIS OUTLANDISH TRASH POLICY. IF YOU ARE FOR THE MILRATE INCREASE AND NOT THIS MONEY SCAM PAY AS YOU THROW, PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION
