| 151 | Bamboo Ilana | It is vitally important that all gender identies and sexual orientations be included in any and all legislation regarding discrimination. What would it be like if the heterosexual binary preferences of that mainstream group were all of a sudden put into a minority position and treated as poorly as those who don't fit into the apparent biological binary. This divide and piecemeal effort works as well as the civil rights and antiwar movements of the 60's for women. Wait your turn doesn't do it. Its All or All. nothing inbetween. |

| 156 | Lisa C. Gilinger | It would be an unacceptable travesty to pass ENDA excluding protections for people that experience gender differently. |

| 158 | Karen Eve Liedigk | Too bad we can't have the Churches be included. They think we are living in sin. |

| 160 | Anderson Toone | I am a law abiding, tax paying citizen and your constituent. I have voted for you throughout your career since the early 90s.
I have also been an activst in the struggle for lgbt rights since the white night riots in the late 70s.
I voted for Harvey Milk.
I happen to be a transsexual man.
It is incomprehensible that you of all people could sell us out.
I haven't been this disillusioned since the Clinton admin did similar backstabbing a decade ago. I saw you on the news tonight pleading for Bush to not veto money for kids. Some of those kids are transsexual. Oprah actually had a show on two of them today.
Think about it Nancy, did you just mean *some* kids?
Is the logic that its not ok to Hate us, but it is to discriminate in employment? There's something wrong with this picture.
No one's free 'til we're all free. Period.
You know better! |

| 175 | Fredrikka Joy Maxwell | Failure to pass a transgender inclusive Employemtn Nondiscrimination Act is nothing more than an assault on the American family. The transgender person in auestion could very well be your sister or brother or aunt or uncle. Your family member. Trans people are the mist discriminated against members of the American workforce. We simply MUST pass an inclusive Employment Nondiscrimination Act. Anything less is a crime. |

| 178 | Ann Boyle | Please keep ENDA transgender inclusive. |
| 179 | Shaun Moran | As a transgender man I urge you to help protect my job, and my fellow LGBT brother's and sister's jobs. I do live in a state that protects my job from discrimination based on my gender identity, but so many states don't have that. Please make it a federal law and help end discrimination. |
| 180 | Betsy Ladki | How many more Susan\Steve Stanton's will it take to change your minds about the real existence of transphobia and the need for ENDA for transgendered folks |
| 181 | Donna Smith | |
| 182 | Geoffrey H. Pforr | I am an attorney who practices on both Long Island and New York City, New York, and is well versed in civil rights claims as that is a substantial part of my practice. Frankly, I am somewhat taken aback that out Congress is not prepared to extend basic discrimination protection to transgendered individuals that other individuals have the benefit of. Frankly, this is not fair to those individuals as being transgendered is a product of their biology over which they have no control. Moreover, many transgendered individuals are important, productive members of our society who deserve the basic protections that we all share. Therefore, I implore you to include transgender protestions in ENDA. Thank you. |
| 183 | Jennifer Burleton | The lives of transgender children and youth are not a bargaining chip to be used for political reasons.
Please do not abandon them |
| 184 | Tiffany Woods | My family deserves the same protections as any other tax payer in the country. My 17 month old daughter has the right to have her moms protected, just like othe rmoms and dads. Does not our constitution say " for all"? Please continue doing the right thing. It is the legacy we leave our children.

| 186 | Mari Rosenberger | the politically expedient thing to do ... is rarely the right thing to do. many wonderful people will be left out in the cold, in the name of an 'easier' passage. the argument seems to be that transgender people need to 'pay their dues' like the gays and lesbians have. .... what does that even mean? |
| 187 | Mickey Odawa | If the law doe not include gender identity, it only provides protection to people who don't LOOK queer. That's not even half a loaf; it's an insult. |
| 188 | Rachel Zall | |
| 189 | Catherine L. Smitha | The rights guaranteed by ENDA are no less important for transgender persons than for lesbian, bisexual and gay persons. Please do not delete trangender people from ENDA. |
| 190 | Lauren Danley | I'm proud to be a transgender citizen,
I'm proud to be a transgender voter.
I'm proud to be a transgender precinct comittee person for the Democratic Party.
I'm proud to be transgender.
Please don't leave us out in the cold now.

| 192 | Marielle Messing | You cannot give people the option on who to discriminate against. You must protect as many people as possible. That's what legislation is for. |
| 193 | Roslyn Manley | ENDA must be inclusive of sexual orientation and gender identity. One without the other will create problems and enemies. |
| 194 | Haven Herrin | I was having dinner with my transgender friend as this news came to me, that the co-sponsors want to split the bill between sexual orientation and gender identity. The news split our table in half. Do not divide our community, please. I am a committed activist working every day to make it okay to be - not just okay to be gay, lesbian, or bisexual. We stand together or fall together. If the bill does not pass as a unified piece of legislation, then the fault and the discrimination are on the shoulders of those who do not vote for job protection. Give those who would discriminate a chance to show their true colors. Do not protect them from their own bigotry. Let the world see it. I will be proud to see the bill not pass and remain in solidarity with my transgender friends. |

| 196 | JK Collins | Transgender people need ENDA and should equally be represented with the rest of the LGB community under its protection. |
| 197 | Petra Agostinho | |
| 198 | amber cummings | |
| 199 | Jackson Marrs | Please reconsider this stance. The democratic leadership must begin to take a stand and not allow this kind of division of basic civil rights extend into this kind of legislation which threatens to eliminate transgender persons from the abilitiy to support themselves by maintaining a job due to discrimination. Please show courage and act ethically by including all GLBT people in ENDA. Thank you. |
