Elizabeth F. Batsford | I have seen my transgender friends harassed and beaten because of who they are. I have seen them struggle to find any acceptance in this society that is caught up in the binary. Please help to protect them. Recognize and validate their reality.
Margaret Hargrave | This is a very important and necessary change. As a young person on the verge of entering the national economy as a independent and active agent, it is very important to me that transgender people have the same rights as any other.
cory allen | I find it repulsive that our us government takes equality in doses. People are dying, being disowned, and loosing the battle against themselves becausea few lawmakers are scared of the implications involved that they stand for the rights for all people not just those who are more socially accepted that some.

Rebekah Heilman | Please pass this bill, trans people are disproportionately minority and low income---ask why? Because they are often discrimated against in the labor market--fix the problem and you will make them healthier and more financially secure.
Andrew Lesieur | A person's appearance or identity alone must not keep that person from earning a legitimate income.

al pellenberg | ok speaker nancy.. lets be real not including trans might be easier but it would be like saying lets leave out the jews.. or the light brown people but not the dark brown people
Patricia Clymore | Please add gender identity to the ENDA legislation - it is important. To leave it off is to further discriminate and marginalize.
tara levy | i am a married, heterosexual voter, and i care about this issue.

Greg Barrett | Equality is for ALL Americans
Winnie Roberts | We need to be all inclusive in designing the protection of rights for LGBT persons. The right wing element is trying to, in the least, divide and conquer.

Carl S. Spacek | I know some transgendered people and believe that they deserve the same protection under the law as so many others in our society that have been subject to unreasonable, and uninformed discrimination.

deborah barclift | this effects so many families .to discriminate against transgender is not right. they need the protection against discimination as well as the rest of us.and yes females still make less in the work field and are not taken seriously we are still a minority in the pay scale scene. this bill effects my family please take this seriously .they are hard workingclass people like everyone else .give them the protection they deserve.

Samantha Schoer | This bill is unacceptable and full of discrimination if it isn't gender identity inclusive.
Venessa Kirby | If we pay taxes we should not be discriminated against.
Cheryjn Carson | My spouce is still looking for work and is willing to shovel dung, to help with our bills. She was let go from her job in June of 2006, for transgender issues, and has yet to find gainful employeement. We will lose our home if she can not find a job that contributes to the house hold bills that need to be paid. We have been forced into poverty levels due to no protection for the transgender community. She has been a security guard for most of her life. I know that the rich people in Washington have no reason nor ability to grasp what the average person goes through little lone the trangender individual. I do ask you step out of your ivory tower and take a look at the real world and have some compassion for those of us less fortunate.
